Landmark reporter
Platte City Mayor Frank Offutt reported to board of aldermen
members at last week's meeting that the designs are moving
forward for the next group of capital improvement/street
projects.
Final designs for the next phase are due by Dec. 28.
Also at the meeting, board members approved street light
changes around the Platte County Courthouse.
The approval was for three fixtures surrounding the courthouse
to be changed from closed to open fixtures, as seen at
other fixtures throughout Platte City. The city also received
a request from the county to install a light at the alley
on the west side of the courthouse. Prior to the meeting,
there was no light at that location.
In other action, City Administrator Keith Moody updated
the board on the selection process for the public works
superintendent. Moody stated that Nov. 30 will be the
interview date for the position.
