Championship week update

Donations for the extra night for the team to stay in
St. Louis can be given to QB Club President, Mark Bullock
(858-2489) or left at the Central Office (858-5420).
Monday, Nov. 21, City of Platte City Mayor Frank Offutt
signed a proclamation declaring "Pirate Football
Week". Area businesses and patrons are asked to display
their Pirate flags this week.
Tuesday, Nov. 20, Pirate Booster Club Store opened
from 7-9 p.m. at the high school. This was the last chance
before the State Championship game to buy your Pirate
apparel, spirit flags, and assorted Pirate stuff. Please
remember to bring your Pirate flags and orange shakers/pom
pons from last year to this year's game!!!!
Wednesday, Nov. 21, School and community, orange
and blank and displaying their flags at their home, businesses,
cars, etc.
Thursday, Nov. 22, Football team departure, Paxton
parking lot, time to be announced.
Friday, Nov. 23, Pirate band departs at 7:30 a.m.
and performs at halftime of our 3A State Championship
game vs. New Madrid at 3:15 p.m. at the TWA Dome. Pirate
Band returns following the game at approximately 12 a.m.
Student Spirit bus departs 7:30 a.m., reservations and
$10 advanced deposit required and returned upon departure-
need 25 or more riders. Bus returns immediately after
the game (approx. 12 a.m.). Make reservations at the high
school office.
Game information: Tickets can be purchased at
the stadium or at the high school office (before 11:30
Wed.) for $8. Seating will be on the visitor side (opposite
side from last year). All seats are general admission-
No passes. West Platte plays Lockwood at 12:00 and will
be sitting in the visitor section prior to our game.
Please wear orange and black and remember you will be
inside!!

New Madrid is located in the bootheel of Missouri and
is 50 miles south of Cape Girardeau and close to the Kentucky/Tennessee
border. The Eagles are 12-1 and have won the 3A State
Basketball Championship the last two years, and have 12
football players playing Friday from that championship
squad. Their lone district has 1,918 students and a high
school enrollment of 550 students.

Halftime Show: As of Monday the New Madrid band
does not intend to perform at halftime of the Pirates
vs. New Madrid Eagles game so the Pirate Band and Spirit
Squad are planning to perform during the whole halftime.
Should New Madrid decide to perform, the halftime would
be shared.
Special Note: Our neighbors, the West Platte Bluejays
play immediately preceding our game. Many Pirate fans
plan to arrive early to support our Platte County neighbors
and many West Platte fans will be staying to support our
Pirates. We hope you can join in on the fun and excitement
of this unique experience we will share with the Bluejays
and Pirates in St. Louis.
