Annual
holiday lighting ceremony will be Nov. 24
Platte City Parks and Recreation Board wishes to remind
the community of the upcoming holiday lighting ceremony,
Saturday, Nov. 24. The evening begins at 6 p.m. on the

The annual announcement of the Truman Glenn Award will
be presented and last year's recepient, Dr. Carl Myers
will be on hand to flip the switch on the holiday lights
for the season.
The arrival of Mr. and Mrs. Claus will once again highlight
the evening. Tentatively scheduled photos with Santa for

be served at the Baptist Education Building located between
Olin Miller Insurance and Ron Pines Barbershop.
Rumor has it that homemade cinnamon rolls are in store
for those attending. Serving begins immediately following

Local stores will be open throughout the evening so plan
on
strolling the sidewalks and doing some holiday shopping.
