dies in I-29 accident

An effort by a Hollywood, Fla. man to play the role of
good Samaritan ended in his death Saturday night on Interstate
29 about six miles north of Platte City.
Keivan Owji, 37, was pronounced dead at the scene after
he was struck by a southbound vehicle driven by Donna
M. Lucas, 60, of Kansas City, Ks., according to a report
by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Owji stopped his car and got out to check on a previous
accident when he was struck by Lucas' vehicle about 10:45
p.m. Saturday while he was in the left hand lane.
Troopers did not issue a citation to Lucas.
