Scam
artist strikes local business
The Platte City Police Department have released a flyer
to area businesses regarding a quick change scam in the
area.
A quick change suspect entered a Platte City business
on April 13 using a $50 bill to scam money from the business.
According to Bill Massock, Platte City police chief,
the suspect is a black male about 40-years-old with glasses,
6'0" and 150 pounds, driving a 4-door baby blue Cadillac
with tinted windows and chrome wire wheels.
Massock stated he is unaware of how many incidents have
taken place in Platte City, but area businesses should
be on the lookout for the suspect and this scam.
If anyone sees the subject or knows the identity of the
individual, they are asked to contact the Platte City
Police Department at (816) 858-5150.
