A lone gunmen robbed a bank in southern Platte County on Monday, Feb. 13.

According to authorities, a white male entered Bank Midwest located in the Picture Hills Shopping Center at 6430 North Cosby, displayed a weapon and demanded cash at approximately 9:30 a.m.

The gunman was reported wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with a grey jacket over his sweatshirt, cargo pants, dark gloves, and a black ski mask. The suspect is described as being 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing approximately 160-170 pounds.

According to authorities, the suspect fled the scene of the crime on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Angela Austin, chief administrator officer with Bank Midwest, said the bank is currently working with authorities.

No injuries were reported.
