The Platte Valley Bank on Barry Road was robbed on Thursday morning around 9:30 a.m.
A black man around 6 feet tall weighing between 170 and 180 pounds, wearing a green hard hat, tan coveralls, and safety glasses walked into the bank at 6324 NW Barry Road, according to Bridget Patton, FBI spokeswoman.
The man walked up to a teller and began discussing opening a bank account. He then pulled out a grocery bag and told the woman to fill the bag. When a second teller walked up, the man handed her another bag and told her to fill it also.
According to Patton, the man did not show a weapon to the clerks and made no threat of having a weapon.
The man then left the bank and was seen walking northwest through the parking lot. There were no reports of injuries in the robbery.
Patton would not disclose the amount of money taken. The FBI did release photos taken from the security cameras in the bank of the suspect in the robbery.
According to Patton, there is no further information available as of Tuesday afternoon. |
