Police say a fight broke out between two men after the Platte County Pirates homecoming football game on Friday night in Platte City.
According to Richard Sayles, police chief, the fight occurred around 10 p.m. after the football game ended.
Sayles said that Ronald Hubbard, 43, of Platte City, and Ronald Campbell, 43, of Platte County, had attended the game and as they were leaving in Hubbard's vehicle, Campbell allegedly grabbed the keys.
Hubbard then tried to get the keys back and as they were flailing in the vehicle, Campbell was allegedly struck by Hubbard. The two then began pushing and shoving each other in the parking lot of the high school.
Platte City officers asked them both to go to the Platte City police station. Once at the station, the two decided to not press charges against each other.
Sayles said the two appeared to be friends who sometimes have disagreements.
