Another Democratic candidate has filed for first district commissioner in Platte County.

Michelle Wilson, of Kansas City, has filed on the Democrat ticket against William “Bill” Quitmeier for the primary in August. On the Republican ticket Kathy Dusenbery, current mayor of Parkville, has filed against incumbent Tom Pryor.

As of Wednesday morning, no one has filed against Jim Plunkett, Republican incumbent, for second district county commissioner.

As for local April races, in Platte City, Jim Palmer and Debbie Kirkpatrick have filed as write-in candidates for the Ward 3 Alderman position. The current incumbent, Aaron Jung, did not file for relection to that position.
