Filings for school board and municipal positions continue to trickle in around Platte County.
North Platte R-1 School District's has three candidates thus far for three open positions. Filing thus far are Debi Asher, incumbent; George Hoeffner and John McLaughlin.
The Platte County R-3 School District has only had incumbent Patricia Stinnett file for one of the three open board seats. Positions currently held by Dave Holland and Carey Rolofson are also currently up for grabs.
In the Park Hill School District, only incumbents Bob Weidt, Fred Sanchez, and Mike Otto have filed for the board.
At West Platte R-2, five candidates have filed for three open spots. The candidates are Donald Wilson, incumbent; Diana Summers; Lynn Collison, incumbent; Pat Roberts, incumbent; and Patrick Rainey.
For Platte City mayor, the two candidates are still Frank Offutt and incumbent Dave Brooks.
None of the aldermen have filed for reelection as of Wednesday morning. Aldermen up for election this year are Kenneth Brown, Aaron Jung and Marsha Clark.
In Parkville, Gerry Richardson has filed for mayor and is unopposed as of Wednesday.
In Parkville’s Ward 1, incumbent Jim Brooks is running again. In Ward 2, Dave McCoy is running as an incumbent. Also in Ward 2, Gia McFarlane is running for a one-year term after being appointed by the mayor this year.
Former alderman Brian Atkinson is challenging incumbent Ward 3 Alderman Jeffrey Bay. Ward 4 Alderman Marc Sportsman is running for reelection to the board.
For Parkville municipal judge, Sandra Ferguson has filed for reelection.
In Riverside, only the incumbents have filed for the following positions: Mayor Kathy Rose; Ward 1 Alderman Ron Super; Ward 2 Alderman Bernie Bruns; and Ward 3 Alderman David Hurt.
Filing deadline for city and school positions is Jan. 22 at 5 p.m.
