Man, 41, accused
of upskirt

•by Alan McArthur
Landmark reporter

On Friday, July 20 at the Platte County Fair, a man was arrested by the Platte County Sheriff’s Department for allegedly taking photographs under a girl’s skirt.

The man, identified by authorities as Warren Williams, 41, of Platte City, was arrested after he was allegedly seen taking photos under a 14-year-old girl’s skirt. According to Capt. Frank Hunter, Williams was arrested at the fairgrounds and held for 24 hours before being released.

Once in custody, deputies say they discovered two other photographs of different women on Williams’ camera.

The Platte County Prosecutor’s Office said Williams was charged with invasion of privacy on July 25 and issued a summons to appear in court.

Williams is charged with a misdemeanor count of invasion of privacy, which carries a sentence of up to one year in jail or a $1000 fine. He has a court date of Aug. 21 at 1:30 p.m. set in Platte County Circuit Court Division 5.
