Mandatory evacuation in downtown Parkville

Attention All Business Owners and Residents:

It has been ordered by the City of Parkville that all residents and business owners evacuate any and all buildings south of the railroad tracks within the city limits of Parkville due to the expected flood water levels predicted by the National Weather Service for the Missouri River.  This evacuation is mandatory.

These areas were closed to all persons as of 2 a.m. on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 until further notice.

Please take notice that utilities will be turned off in these areas for safety purposes.  You may wish to remove food from refrigerators and freezers.

Residents and business owners north of the railroad tracks within the city limits of Parkville are advised to move all items from basements and ground floors.  Currently the City of Parkville is advising a voluntary evacuation of these low-lying areas to the north of the railroad tracks.  This
evacuation is voluntary until further notice.

For more information, updates will be provided through the website for the City of Parkville at
